About

Mama. Wife. Photographer. Nurse. Adventurer.

I have always loved documenting memories. I am a lifestyle photographer, with a background in photojournalism and a passion for capturing real-life moments. There is beauty in the unexpected, and I let that beauty shine through my images. My goal is to preserve the beauty of my subjects’ real lives, frozen in time. I believe these types of images are more powerful and more meaningful.

I am a Colorado native and a graduate from the journalism school at the University of Colorado. After college, I worked as a photojournalist in Colorado, and then moved to New Orleans with the man who would become my husband. I attended nursing school at Louisiana State University and worked as an Emergency Room nurse and later a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse. I also worked as a wedding and family photographer and was able to combine my two vocations through volunteer work in Ecuador and Nicaragua as a nurse and a photographer for a medical mission group called New Orleans Medical Missions. I documented our work helping these communities. I completely fell in love with New Orleans and all it’s food, culture, festivals, and people. However, the mountains are my true home and eventually, along with with a desire to be closer to family, I was pulled back to Colorado.

My husband and I have a four-year-old and a new baby. The perspective our sweet boys have given me on life has made me a better nurse and a better photographer. I now divide my time between my work at Denver Health in the NICU and my photography business. I focus on family, couples, maternity, newborn, and portrait photography. When I am not working, I am spending time with my family and friends, hiking, camping, and cooking.

I adore capturing love, family, and important life events for my clients. I photograph mostly outdoors, in a COVID-friendly way. I would love to help you make some happy memories amongst the chaos of life.
